Quantity

How much there is of something.

Example: What is the quantity of rice?
• We can say "a handful"
• Or use a measuring cup and say "40 milliliters"
• Or we can count them and say "1562"

Quotient

The answer after we divide one number by another.

dividend ÷ divisor = quotient.

Example: in 12 ÷ 3 = 4, 4 is the quotient.
